In the event a candidate does not achieve a passing score on the examination, the candidate may apply to retake the exam. The candidate must submit a signed application or retake request with a copy of the most recent exam score report. Exam Retake Request Form Applicants are given a maximum of three opportunities to successfully complete the examination within 12 months. If passing the examination does not occur after 3 attempts, applicants will be required to complete 8 hours of nephrology-related continuing education or attend and complete a nephrology educational program. A certificate of participation or passing grade must be submitted before taking a future BONENT examination.
